How do I check that a used phone is genuine and unlocked?
Verify the IMEI matches the box and Settings. For iPhones, run the serial number through Apple's coverage check page. Refuse any device showing "iCloud locked", FRP locked (Android), or that asks for an unknown account.
What's a fair price for a used iPhone in Mauritius?
Used iPhones typically lose 30-40% per year vs. retail. As of 2026: iPhone 13 Rs 20,000-28,000, iPhone 14 Rs 26,000-38,000, iPhone 15 Rs 34,000-50,000, iPhone 16 Rs 45,000-65,000. Add 15-20% for sealed condition with original box.
What should I test before paying?

Are used phones covered by warranty?
